How do I get after hours care ?

Please call our House Call Doctor Service on 13 55 66.

They visit patients at home from 6pm Monday to Friday, from 12pm Saturday and all day Sunday and all Public Holidays.

How will I get my test results ?

Test results are not routinely given over the phone.   Your doctor will advise when they expect to receive results. If a follow up appointment is necessary, Rosslea Medical Centre staff will contact you.

How can I give feedback or make a complaint ?

We have listened to patient feedback and we continue to maintain after business hour appointments.

If you have any comments, complaints, or criticisms or just a good idea, please fill in a suggestion form located near the front reception counter.

Alternatively, please ask to speak to the Practice Manager who is available at all times or feel free to call and speak to her on the Practice number 07 4758 0500. In the event of a complaint not being able to be resolved after discussion with the Practice Manager and/or Doctor please contact The Office of the Health Ombudsman on 133646 or email: complaints@oho.qld.gov.au




Are you a training practice ?

Rosslea Medical centre is a Training Practice of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and ACCRM. We usually have one of the program Doctors with us. These doctors are fully qualified practitioners who are studying for a higher qualification in General Practice.

We also participate in the training of medical students and nursing students. There will be a sign on the front counter making you aware, and our Receptionists will advise you as you arrive. Please inform us when you are booking in if you don’t wish for a student to be involved in your care.

Telephone Access?

Should you need to speak to your GP via the telephone and he/she is with a patient, you will be put through to the Practice Nurse. The Nurse will relay the message to the GP.

Either the Nurse or GP will return your call as soon as practicable.

How to obtain a Prescription?

Prescriptions should be requested at time of consultation. Remaining up to date with your medications is your responsibility.

Should you require an urgent prescription, a script only appointment will be available. Out of consultation, scripts are at doctors discretion, they will require 48 hours processing time & attract a cost of $15.



Video Consultations?

Here at Rosslea Medical Centre we have the facilities to conduct a video consultation between you and your specialist.

If you are interested in this service, please discuss it with one of our doctors during your appointment.

What are our Fees & Billing Policy ?

Rosslea medical centre is a private billing practice. Fees are payable at the time of consultation via card or cash. Medicare refund is available at the time of payment. We accept all DVA card holders. Other services may be ordered by your doctor for your healthcare, including ECG’s, spirometry and immunisations these are charged separately to your consult fee. Any alternate method of billing to those displayed will be at the discretion of each individual doctor. Work cover and Medicals will also incur a fee. If you have difficulty paying your account please contact the practice manager.

Do you accept walk in patients?

Here at Rosslea Medical Centre we do not accept walk in appointments.
